Volkswagen Goes 1-2-3 in Dakar Rally

For the second year in a row, Volkswagen has won the famous Dakar Rally, now hosted in South America. However, what sets this year apart from others was that VW placed first, second, and third! I am not sure how many times, or if, this has happened before, but it was quite impressive, and I just thought that all you folks out there on the interwebz needed to know this wonderful news! Go VW!

Volkswagen 1032 HP Polo Beast

Something I may not have mentioned in my bio page, The Phi, but I am also a huge Volkswagen fan! I came across this awesome build of an old Mk1 Polo while trolling through one of my VW forums. The information, roughly translated from German, claims a completely built 1032-HP engine from AME Racing that is capable of 0-62 MPH in 2.3 seconds! Check out the video of the car doing a front wheelie while running the 1/4-mile! There is also a picture and some info about the engine after the jump.
